Peter Frucht’s Loop is an interactive installation and net art piece that critically explores the phenomenon of the loop. Originating from a website, it features a chat room where discussions are continuously redirected to the theme of loops. Dialogue fragments are disassembled and graphically restructured by chance, disrupting traditional syntax and layering language. A speech synthesizer further rearranges these words into rhythmic patterns, transforming the readable into unreadable and unhearable forms. By merging reading, observing, and listening, the work creates a dense, hybrid experience that challenges perception, inviting participants to navigate shifting meanings and uncover new patterns.
